Fading

This picture was inspired by James 1: 9-11 The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high
position. 10 But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower.

Safe

During a time of restlessness and feeling very vulnerable, I was impressed to paint this. The Lord encouraged me as I called out to Him that I am ultimately and forever "Safe" . I found this verse later which confirmed this truth. "Even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me." Psalm 139:10.

Bowed Low

Bowed Low for me came from at 3 themes

HUMILITY
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:10

PRAYER
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
Romans 8:26,27

AWE
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
Psalm 8:3,4

No More Tears

When my Father-in Law passed away, I found myself singing one of his
favorite songs based on this Scripture: Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Wonderful

I was commissioned to recreate "Bowed Low" a little differently.
This image reminds me of the Psalm 139, but particularly verses 14, 17

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

Precious

The Lamb has several wonderful passages for me

Genesis 22:8 - Jehovahjireh - God will provide
"God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.

Passover Lamb - Exodus 12:13
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are.
And when I see the blood, I will pass over you;

Redemption Lamb - I Peter 1:19
but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Behold the Lamb - John 1:36
And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!"

Powerful Lamb - Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,

Simple

TRANQUILITY OR DESOLATION?
My thoughts were inspired by the following Scriptures and thoughts
Sometimes we resist what seems too simple.

The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
Psalm 119:30

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
I Corinthians 1:18

WHAT DOES IT PROFIT?
Watching the Apprentice, reminded me of this Scripture
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? - Mathew 16:26

Amazing Love

THE WORD BECOMES FLESH

This painting of a new born child was first inspired by Galatians 4:4
"But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman,.."

Additional Scriptures which speak of His Amazing love:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14
